Lahore: Pakistan offered New Zealand to play five T20 matches instead of 3 during the propose tour.
In preparation for the T20 World Cup, Pakistan suggested New Zealand to pla 2 additional T20 matches. The default schedule included three ODIs and three T20I matches.
The PCB confirmed to T20 Times that they had requested for two additional T20 matches and request them to play 5 T20s instead of 3 to help both the teams better preparation for the T20 World Cup starting October 17 in the UAE.
The two boards are currently discussing the issue. It will be possible to increase the number of matches to 5 as the series dates have not been finalized.
The schedule of two T20 matches between Pakistan and England on October 15 and 16 has already been announced. Before that, it would be a chance to match between New Zealand and Pakistan.
After the series of West Indies, Pakistan and Afghanistan matches are also scheduled.
